Fiji Diving and Snorkelling
Love diving and snorkelling? Well, Fiji is a great place for both. The photo above is my son having a great time snorkelling looking at the coral. I took this shot with an underwater digital camera I hired on the boat we were on. If you get a chance hire one because you can see the wonderful high quality photos you can take with a camera like this.
You can go island hopping and by seaplane, helicopter, catamaran or launch from the mainland. You can go by yourself or on an organised tour. On many of the islands you can snorkel straight off the beach which is perfect if you have children or are a first timer when it comes to snorkelling.

Denarau Island, Fiji
Denarau Island is only 20 minutes from Nadi Airport and has many great resorts.
Sheraton Fiji Resort
Sheraton Denarau Villas
Radisson Resort
Sofitel Fiji Resort
Westin Denarau Island Resort and Spa
Golf Terraces
Fiji Beach Resort and Spa
There is a free Bula Bus which takes you between the resorts managed by the Sheraton, The Sheraton Fiji Resort, The Sheraton Villas and the Westin Resort. It is worth going to each resort to enjoy the pools or their restaurants.
The free Denarau Shuttle bus runs every 30 minutes and goes from all the resorts to the Denerau Port. The bus is an experience in itself! It has a thatched roof and open sides and if crowded you might have to stand. You can enjoy visiting all the other resorts on your way to the Port.
Port Denarau has many shops, the general tourist ones for your souvenirs and well as clothing shops all reasonably priced. The restaurants here are great value and much cheaper that the restaurant at the resorts. I recommend Indingo Indian and Asian Restaurant. There are also many take way food shops and a bank. This is also where all the boat leave to the many islands.
